On the occasion of the Summit, Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmus-sen states:

”I am looking forward to the EU-South Korea Summit, which is the first meeting of its kind. At the same time, it is one of President Kim Dae-jung’s last official acts before he leaves office.

The meeting will primarily be concerned with relations on the Korean Peninsula, including South Korea and the EU’s dialogue with North Korea. We shall, of course, also discuss the bilateral connections be-tween the EU and South Korea, and I expect our discussions to in-clude an opportunity to consider the matter of Korean state aid for shipyards.”
