06.12.02

On Monday 9 December, Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen will meet leader of the Turkish AK Party Tayyip Erdogan. The Danish Prime Minister last had a meeting with Mr Tayyip Erdogan on 26 November.

Prior to the meeting, the Prime Minister states:

“Turkey has made a great effort to meet the EU requirements for initiating accession negotiations with Turkey. The new Turkish Government has indicated that it will continue this work, and I expect that Mr Tayyip Erdogan will present the Danish EU Presidency with an account of the further measures to be taken to reform Turkish society.
