Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen will meet British Prime Minister Tony Blair in London on Wednesday 12 June.
The meeting will include, among other things, talks on the preparation for the EU Summit in Seville later this month.
On the occasion of the visit, the Prime Minister states:
”I look forward to meeting Prime Minister Tony Blair. I place a high priority on conducting an active Danish European policy. The meeting with Mr. Blair takes place at an important point in time leading up to the Summit in Seville.
The central issue of our talks will be the future of the EU. We shall discuss the work of the Convention of the future of the EU, and the future working methods of the European Council and the Council. The working methods of the Council specifically will be a key issue on the agenda for the European Council in Seville.
We shall also discuss other main points for the Summit in Seville. The issues to be discussed include the enlargement, the preparations for the Johannesburg Summit on Sustainable Development, as well as the prevention of illegal immigration.”

The Prime Minister's meeting with Prime Minister Blair will take place at 10 Downing Street from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The Prime Minister will give a door-step press meeting outside 10 Downing Street after the meeting at 10:30 AM.
There will also be a photo opportunity in connection with the start of the meeting at 9:30 AM.
